| Drainflow were commissioned by Engineer's Arch Henderson on behalf of NHS Grampian to investigate, map out to existing topographical Cad drawing, clean and inspect existing surface water drainage prior to re-surfacing of the bus turning bay at the main entrance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Work was organised as soon as vacant site possession was available due to excavation works commencing by the Civils Contractor. Major technical issues with the system were revealed requiring extending our working day to comply with deadlines, employment of deep suction techniques, stringent health & safety issues due to confined space working to depths of 7.0m to eventually overcome several long term problems which only came to the fore due to the initial requirement of the Engineer to prove the system prior to re-surfacing . This in our opinion is a salient lesson and an excellent case study, proving due diligence is highly beneficial prior to major capital expenditure. |
